PEARLS information
Though
called "pearls" they contain no nacre as pearls usually
do, they are rather calcareous concretions, their structure
gives them a porcelain-like luster, some showing a flame, see
the conch pearl !
These
pearls cannot be cultivated, they occur once in about 10 000
shells found, and even 100 000 for the Quahog !
